I don’t know why Kinja ditched it, but using it was almost always a violation of Oppo rules anyway.
It’s quite possible getting rid of it is just another step to separate user content from GMG content, which is desirable for a whole bunch of reasons.

Doesn’t mean anything. Things appear and disappear from Kinja all the time while they’re testing. Like that support button these past few days.
